Four times in 2022, Canadian residents can fish Ontario waters wihout buying a licence.
  • Family Fishing Weekend in February (February 19 - 21)
  • Mother’s Day Weekend in May (May 7 - 8)
  • Father’s Day Weekend in June (June 18 - 19)
  • Family Fishing Week in July (July 2 - July 10)
During all other time periods, Canadian residents between the ages of 18 and 64 years must purchase a valid fishing license to legally fish in Ontario.
