A Fall Prevention Program for Seniors

Monday from 1:00-2:30pm and Wednesday from 1:00-2:00pm.
Must pre-register as class size is limited

Program offered by Barry’s Bay and Area Senior Citizens Home Support Services with support from the Killaloe Lions Club and is funded by the Champlain LHIN through the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.

Fall Prevention Classes

No cost to participants

No equipment is required, but participants are advised to wear comfortable clothes and appropriate footwear.
Group exercise classes are led by certified instructors that focus on activities to reduce the risk of falls.
Education sessions are offered that help participants develop confidence in preventing falls and assist participants to identify risks for falls (in the environment and related to their own behaviour).
Information shared on home exercises that, together with the other program components, reduce the risk of falls.

Monthly EMS Blood Pressure Clinic is now being held at Water Tower Lodge on the 20th of each month between 1:00 - 3:00p.m.

The centre can be rented by other clubs for meetings, shows and dinners.
