Emily Adam will be teaching traditional polyphonic music, village songs from Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Georgia and beyond.
Come to learn a variety of vocal techniques to tune your voice towards village music from afar, and with some time and willingness, perhaps we might even become a choir.
Come with a notebook and pencil, and desire to sing - no experience necessary.
Children are welcome with a caregiver (who also sings!)

No cost to participants

The Stand Up program will be running at the Lions Hall in Killaloe every Monday from 1:00-2:30 pm and Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 pm. April 5th through June 26th

Stand Up consists of two classes per week as well as a pre- and post-program assessment. To achieve the optimal benefit, participants are encouraged to attend all classes. No equipment is required, but participants are advised to wear comfortable clothes and appropriate footwear.
Group exercise classes are led by certified instructors that focus on activities to reduce the risk of falls.
Education sessions are offered that help participants develop confidence in preventing falls and assist participants to identify risks for falls (in the environment and related to their own behaviour).
Information shared on home exercises that, together with the other program components, reduce the risk of falls.
